Boucle pédestre : Les satellites, Puisseguin

From Place de l'Eglise, turn right into Rue du Mayne (towards ‘La Société des Eaux’). At the end of the road, turn left. At the first crossroads, go straight ahead and continue in this direction until you come to the junction with the D130.

At the ‘Stop’ sign, turn left, then turn into the first street on the right. Go straight on until you reach the entrance to a hamlet. Turn right and continue downhill to the crossroads. Turn right and continue along the left-hand side of the main road (Lieu-dit Baisse).

Turn right into the path between the two watering holes on your left. Take the path on the left.

Turn right and continue straight on rue de Guillotin. At the junction, turn left and then immediately right. Continue straight on until you reach the D17. Turn right and walk along the main road. (If you wish to end the walk here, you can continue straight on to return to the starting point). Take the path on the left before the town hall, just after Ch. Beauséjour (right-hand side). Continue straight on until you reach Ch. Bel-Air.

Keep to the right and stay on this tarmac track until you reach the next crossroads, at the end of Rue du Barrail. At the end of the road, turn left. At the junction, keep left and continue to the next intersection.

Turn right. Walk along the main road and turn left at the next bend. Continue along this road to the end of the path (yellow and green signposts). Take the road on the left (3rd signpost) and continue along this path through the vines to the end of the plot.

Turn left and go straight ahead to join a dirt track. When the track bends to the left, leave it and turn right to walk between rows of vines. Continue straight ahead until you reach the road. Cross the road and continue straight on to the next crossroads (follow ‘circuit médiéval’).

Turn right and walk to the entrance to Ch. de Roques. Turn left and continue straight ahead. The path bends to the right and leads you to a pond.

At the pond, turn right and continue straight ahead until you reach a tarmac path (green waymarkers). Turn right and then take the next road on the left (signposted). Take the next track on your right, and at the end turn left.

Stay on this path, which becomes a dirt track, until you can no longer go straight ahead because of the trees in front of you. Turn right, then right again to go alongside the trees and finally turn left. You will come to a tarmac road. Follow it to the next track on the left.

Take this path and continue straight on to the end. Turn left and continue to the next crossroads (past the Ch. des Faures). At the end of the track, turn right. This path, known as ‘de Faure Monbadon’, will take you as far as the D21. From this point, look out over the valley and the Ch. de Monbadon.

At the crossroads with the departmental road, turn right towards ‘Monbadon, commune de Puisseguin’. Take the 1st turning on the right, signposted ‘Église romane de Monbadon’. Drive past the church and its cemetery and continue straight ahead. Then take the track on the left which crosses the grove and joins the D21. Turn left. Leave the road by taking the first track on the right. At the end, turn left and stay on this road until you reach the D123-E7 (‘Stop’ sign + Ch. le Bernat on your left).

At the main road, turn left into the centre of Puisseguin, your starting point.
