N°53 Col de Pétragème

From the parking of Masousa, the hike starts on the piste for 2.4km. Cross the Gave d'Ansabère over Lamary Bridge and continue going up a grassy track. The slope gets steeper and pebbly. After a brief section in the undergrowth you'll come out on the plateau. Fork left (south west) and cross the plain.

Follow the winding path up then enter the beech forest. The path widens and, after a straight section, an S-bend takes you out of the forest. The track takes a right as you approach the cabins. You can take a break to stock up on water and cheese here.

The descent is the same as the ascent. Be careful at the start, it's sloping and the soil is loose.
