Hiking route "The Carriage of the Wood of Gierre"

4-hour middle level hiking, close to Turriers.

Preferably park before the hamlet of Gierre. Cross the hamlet and follow the path through the large woods. At the crossroads of the Gierre wood, stay on the left track until the end of it. Then go down through the beeches to reach another track. Be careful, you are entering private property, please do not go off the marked path. Then take the track on your right up to a small pass which you will quickly reach. From there, take the track on your right, path and then another track until you reach the pastures of the Picouse ridge. Immediately after the last pine grove, turn right onto a path which is not very visible at the start, to go down through the beech woods to your starting point.
