Description

A walk with fantastic views of the lake. Most of the walk is in the woods so you won't be too hot on your way to the Montagne d'Hermone.
Nature and Heritage: the "Balcons du Léman" GR hiking trail links the Jura to Saint Gingolph on the banks of Lake Geneva via Col de Saxel, Col de Cou and Mont Forchat. In France, the total distance of Grande Randonnée (GR) hiking trails is approximately 60000km. They are maintained by volunteers from the Fédération Française de Randonnée Pédestre. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to wonderful walks!
Route details: follow the well signposted "Balcons du Léman" GR hiking trail to Montagne aux Sœurs via the Chapelle d'Hermone. You can reach the hamlet of Feu via the Col du Feu. Walk through the hamlet then continue on the trail. Throughout the walk you’ll have fantastic views of Lake Geneva. You can go back on the same route whenever you like. However, it’s worth walking up the Montagne aux Soeurs. You could even leave your second car in Reyvroz (square in front of the church) to avoid going back the same way.
