The circuit starts in Meymac (at an altitude of 650 m), at the foot of Mont Bessou. A member of the "Les Plus Beaux Détours de France" network, Meymac is a must-see destination for lovers of old stones...
The natural heritage around Meymac, gateway to the Millevaches Regional Nature Park, will not leave you unmoved: forests, pastures, peat bogs... Mount Bessou is the highest point on the Millevaches plateau, reaching an altitude of 976 metres. After a short and sportive climb up the steps of its panoramic tower, you can look out over the horizon at a symbolic altitude of 1,000 metres and observe the mountains of the Auvergne.
