Family cycling tour In the heart of the Millevaches plateau

Escape to the heart of the unique site of the Millevaches plateau, also known as "the Limousin Mountain". The 12 km 200 circuit invites you to a beautiful bike ride to discover the many treasures of the Millevaches regional nature park. This vast granite plateau is characterised by the presence of numerous lakes, peat bogs and waterways.

Your journey will begin in the commune of St-Merd-Les-Oussines, through which the river Vézère flows.
After a visit to the village, you must visit the Gallo-Roman ruins of Les Cars. Discover the remains dating from the first half of the 2nd century AD.

After the first few kilometres, the circuit offers a beautiful escapade in the heart of the Longeyroux peat bog. Identified as a "biological environment of European interest" for the diversity of its flora and fauna, the peat is an otter's paradise.
