Thanks to the FFRandonnée and the village of Xertigny for the creation of this hike and for the work done by their teams throughout the year to mark out and maintain these paths. Marking: yellow rectangle n°5
The trail starts from the Michel Bidaud square, parking on the square. Go up to the castle through the entrance and then turn left on the stairs of the arboretum. From there follow the marking N° 05 which goes around on the heights of Xertigny through the health course, the Granges Richard and the Croix du Boubot which offers a magnificent view of the region. The return loop takes you to the Sainte Valburge fountain, a mythical place where the town of Xertigny was founded.
A 9-kilometre route that will take you to two emblematic sites: the Oratory of Notre-Dame des Neiges and its beautiful panorama, and the Croix du Boubot which looks over the valley from the plateau where it stands.
