This walk is a perfect combination of the discovery of historical sites and of natural environments.

Starting from the Fort of Bourlemont, an important 19th century defensive site, explore the former 11th century priory "Saint-Jacques au Mont", the ruins of which are still buried in the vegetation.

Face au fort

Face à l'entrée du fort, prendre à droite un chemin empierré. A la fourche, prendre la piste de droite pour continuer sur la crête. Avant une descente, laisser un chemin à droite et poursuivre au sommet du coteau par un chemin terreux. Plus loin, ignorer le départ du GRP® à droite pour continuer jusqu'à un chemin empierré.

Tourner à gauche

Tourner à gauche, puis, au bout de 250 m, traverser une piste et descendre tout droit sur un chemin herbeux puis en terre. En bas, poursuivre en face sur le chemin empierré et sortir du bois. Atteindre rapidement un carrefour.

S'avancer à gauche

S'avancer à gauche (le GR® 714 continue en face) pour passer ensuite près des anciennes forges. Au niveau du premier bâtiment, monter à gauche et, à l'orée de la forêt, quitter la route forestière qui part sur la gauche, puis au bout de 50 m, emprunter à droite le chemin empierré.

Après 400 m, virer à gauche

Après environ 400 m, virer à gauche et gravir le chemin herbeux menant sur le site de Saint-Jacques-Au-Mont (ancien prieuré abandonné à la Révolution).

Prendre à droite l'allée des tilleuls

Quand la pente s'adoucit, prendre à droite l'allée des tilleuls sur 60 m, puis emprunter à gauche un chemin herbeux. Au bout, aller à droite puis tout de suite à gauche. Poursuivre sur ce chemin qui conduit à un arboretum attenant au parking de départ.
