Description

After visiting the center of Oloron, its imposing cathedral and its daring bridge over the Gave d'Aspe, this route immediately opts for back roads and takes a walk along the right bank of the Gave d’Aspe. A quick circuit that can be done until night, to appreciate the lights of the pastures that sublimate the landscapes. The start is progressive through the village of Sœix and with the background of the village of Eysus, towards the old thermal baths of Saint-Christau. A secret site with a lush wooded park, where a small chapel welcomes pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Afterwards, the route makes a foray into the Bois du Bager, ideal to discover by bike. Outside of the relaxing shade, you will find yourself on the Route des Crêtes from where you will arrive in Oloron with beautiful views of the countryside.
