Over just a few kilometres, this trail takes you to numerous sites associated with the key events of the 20th century. These include visible remnants of the First World War such as the cemeteries and British memorials, and of the Second World War in the form of the remains of an airfield, as well as places associated with the fates of two men who fought during these two conflicts: Lieutenant Commander Oswald Wainwright and General Aubert Frère.
In addition to this rich past, Grévillers has retained its rural spirit, which makes this little piece of the country, sandwiched between woodland, meadows and farmed fields, a much-loved destination for walkers.
