Starting from the town square in Anhée, you will discover some bits of history on this walk.
At the start, a plaque recalls the floods of 1925, and further along the path, the buildings of an old forge stand before you.
In the wood you will walk in the footsteps of the brave soldiers who fought here in May 1940, and a cross reminds us of an accident that cost a farmer his life. Further along the walk, you can still see the French army trenches.
In the distance you can see the panorama of the right bank of the Meuse and the ruins of Poilvache to the south-south east.
Finally, after passing by a 19th century chapel, in the vicinity of the old quarry, you will have a beautiful view of Moulins: the pretty farm, the castle (former abbey), and the former copper factory, now an accommodation facility.
A walk rich in heritage and nature!
