Description

During this walk, you will cross the ages!

From the old Dinant-Tamines railway line to the Middle Ages, via the Second World War, you will cross the history of the region.

In Houx, the bridge was defended by Ardennes hunters in 1940, and the fortress still exists. The lock was also used by the Germans to cross the Meuse.

The Middle Ages are already present in your walk with the ruins of Poilvache that you can see on the other side of the Meuse.

You will remain in the same period in Bouvignes. You will pass in front of the old convent of the sepulchres and will walk along the old count's castle. The narrow streets will take you back a few centuries in the shadow of the ruins of Crevecoeur. On the Place du Bailliage, the Spanish House houses the Maison du Patrimoine Médiéval Mosan, a museum rich in history.

You will pass near an old gateway to the town which will allow you to reach the staircase leading to the ruins.

Finally, the Grange farms will bring you back to our time but at Christmas time thanks to their Christmas tree plantation, which you can buy there when it is in season.
