Alopecia escape - Monts du Lyonnais - Saint-Symphorien-sur-Coise

Alopecia escape - Monts du Lyonnais - Saint-Symphorien-sur-Coise

Description

The attractions of the route
The softness of the landscapes, whose perspective punctuated by the bocage and the valleys composes a soothing vegetable mosaic.

The unexpected panorama from the chapel of La Salette, locally called the Chapel of Fear, from where you can contemplate St-Symphorien and the Forez mountains.

St-Symphorien, the only commune in the Rhône stamped “Most Beautiful Detour in France”. The tradition of pork which is why St-Symphorien is considered as the French capital of dry sausage. It is said of this charcuterie speciality that it was invented here.

When and how to enjoy it?

In all seasons, with the treasures of nature as sensory guides: the song of the water in the streams, the scents of the undergrowth, hay drying in the summer sun or the variations of colours that transform the countryside over the seasons, the shades of spring greens, the warm tints of autumn... Stopping at the Saturday morning market, or in a food shop, to celebrate Epicure with a local picnic: sausage, jesus or rosette, fresh cheeses, Coteaux du Lyonnais wine and pâté from the threshing machine for dessert.

On the way back, linger in the park Pinasses to enjoy the last breath of fresh air on the banks of the Coise
