Family-friendly hike through the Praz de Lys Sommand Alpine pastures. When you get to the summit, the view from Lake Geneva to the Alps is remarkable.

The Lac de Roy is a superb mountain lake at the heart of the pastures, perfect for a revitalising break!
At the summit, there are two orientation tables with a 360-degree panoramic map so you can understand the view better. From mid-July to mid-August, you can access this area on a cable car. You will be able to see all the way from the Jura Mountains and Lake Geneva, to the Chablais Mountains, Mont-Blanc and the Aravis Mountains.

Lac de Roy

At an altitude of 1660m, Lac de Roy is the crossroads of numerous hikes and an ideal place for hikers to take a break and admire the panoramic view of the Mont Blanc range.Lac de Roy occupies the cirque of an ancient glacier suspended high above Le Praz-de-Lys. In summer, the setting is very welcoming and relaxing. Away from the throngs of tourists, surrounded by cows, you'll spend a pleasant moment admiring the Mont-Blanc chain. Easy 30-minute walk from Praz de Lys.

In the morning, the light on the plateau's massifs will be beautiful. Mont Blanc will be against the light. In the evening, on the other hand, you'll have superb views of the Mont Blanc massif and the Haut-Giffre valley.
