Description

This cycling circuit is ideal for cyclists of all levels of experience and ages. It follows the banks of Lake Nantua and narrow country lanes for 17km to allow you discover this charming part of Bugey.

Although this part of Bugey is mountainous this cycling trail does not involve any serious climbs and is very family friendly. It follows pathways and quiet lanes so there is very little if any traffic and takes on average 1.5 hours to complete. The journey takes you past Lake Nantua and the ruins of the Château Terreaux and through some very pretty countryside. Itineraries for this cycling trail are available at the tourist office in Nantua.
