Pleasant and varied half-day walk. You will walk along the Arrondine mountain stream at the bottom of the valley and then take a footpath through the alpine pastures.
Departure from the car park at LE PLAN, close to the chapel. Walk in the direction of PETETRUY following the Arrondine river via La Juste and L'Etarpaz. Once you arrive at PETETRUY, walk towards LA GIETTAZ, via LA BALMAZ, taking the Route de Plan Bourgeois. At the Mégevan, go back down to LE PLAN via La Bouerne, La Mouille and the Route de la Mouille, before finally reaching Le Plan.
TO SEE :
Ruins of several chalets below Pététruy which show just how big the settlement was so far down the valley.
INTERESTING FACT :
In the past, alpine pastures were much valued by the village communities. The villages of La Giettaz and Cordon were in dispute over land for a long period, with the legal case over boundaries marking the pastureland of both villages lasted more than 300 years, from the 15th through to the 18th century.
