The Vézelay Way is a major pilgrimage route used by some 1,000 pilgrims every year from northern Europe to reach Vézelay, the starting point for Compiostelle.
Leaving Thiviers via the faubourg Saint-Jacques, you pass the Saint-Jacques cross. Towards Sorges, you pass the Négrondes cross at the entrance to the village, then the Saint-Pierre church. In Sorges, where you'll admire the church of Saint Germain and its shell-shaped stoup, as well as the modern stained-glass windows with shells. Gourmets won't want to miss a visit to the Truffle Museum!
This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Departing from a train station or TER bus stop, it allows you to join a walking or hiking itinerary and take a stroll in ecomobility!
