Discovery trail of the Col de l'Elze offering you beautiful views. Departing from the village of Valleraugue.

Sentier de découverte Après la Maison de Pays, prendre à gauche au poteau "Valleraugue-Cagnel", direction " Les Caralouzes".Suivre le balisage jusqu'au replat, au poteau "Les Caralouzes" prendre le chemin de droite, direction le "Col de l'Elze".Au retour, au croisement, prendre cette fois la direction "Valleraugue" sur la droite.La résistance et le maquis, le mouflon, châtaigneraie, clède, chêne vert, panorama depuis le col de l'Elze. Suite aux intempéries du mois de septembre, de légers glissements de terrain ont été constatés. Le sentier reste néanmoins praticable. 1/ après environ 30 mn de montée, chemin affaissé pour la traversée du ruisseau : contourner le ruisseau par la droite sur quelques mètres, le traverser et retrouver le chemin balisé. 2/ environ 10 mn plus loin, chemin affaissé : le contourner par la gauche et reprendre le chemin balisé un peu plus haut. Départ : Maison de Pays de Valleraugue Durée : 2h Kilométrage : 3,3km Difficultés : Montée et descente raides. Descente glissante, si mouillée. Outdoor activities, hikes and events offer you the chance to discover an exceptional area in the Cévennes National Park, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013. The store offers products and objects related to the area: local and regional artists and craftspeople, hiking maps and guides, specialized books and much more. Opening times : July and August: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Sundays and public holidays, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. From September to the All Saints' vacation period and from the Easter vacation period to the end of June: Tuesday to Saturday: 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sundays and public holidays: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. All Saints' Day to Easter vacations: Tuesday to Saturday: 9:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 18:00; Sundays and public vacations during school vacations: 9:30 to 12:30. Closed on December 25 and January 1.
