The sailor bike ride

This loop makes you discover Château-sur-Allier, village where the Allier river belongs to its past as the last great wild river of Europe.

This 10,2 km long ride is recommended for children over the age of ten, occasional cyclists and cycling enthusiasts.
Starting from Château-sur-Allier, follow the nice small road to the Chavannée typical house in Bourbonnais . Overlooking the Allier river, last wild european river, this typical house of the bocage bourbonnais is the same as before and still represents the witness of past life in the village, always connected with the river. Indeed, the birth of the village is due thanks sailors. The port as well was very active thanks to the confluence between rivers Allier and Bieudre. Take the time to admire the landscape in the area then follow the road to the castle ""Château de Saint Augustin"", surrounded by its green setting.
