The duel of the lords from Pouzy and Le Veurdre

Description

This loop invits you to discover the different style and period of the beautiful castles hidden in the greenery countryside of le Veurdre and Pouzy-Mésangy.

This 17,4 km long ride is recommended for children over the age of ten, occasional cyclists and cycling enthusiasts.
Starting from Pouzy-Mesangy, take the time to admire the great 14th century Pouzy castle. This stone and wood building owned moats and drawnbridge which are so representative of the bourbonnais. Follow your way to neighbouring village of Le Veurdre and to ""Château de la Charnée"", built 18th century by the Crown Prosecutor. Then join the great Château de la Baume made in stone. It was the propriety of the same family for three hundred centuries before its purchase by a king's adviser who gave it its current size. Then go at your own pace back to Pouzy-Mesangy by ridind the pretty shaded little roads.
