Pêcher dans les eaux vives de la Dronne - Sentier le Saut du Chalard

The "Saut du Chalard" is a surprising and refreshing place. Fresh as the Dronne, a river that comes here to make its way between the granite blocks, taking on the air of a torrent. To reach the Saut du Chalard, a path goes down through the forest in which the conifers introduced at the beginning of the 20th century following the rural exodus rub shoulders with the indigenous hardwoods. The granite blocks around the path remind us that we are still in the foothills of the Massif Central. The river which flows at the bottom of the valley has made its way through the crystalline base over the millennia. These balls of stone that it has shaped are all more than three hundred million years old.
