Saint Aquilin is named after a hermit, friend and disciple of Saint-Astier who evangelized the region in the 6th century. The church built in the 12th century was destroyed and rebuilt in the 15th century, as evidenced by the crossed ogive vault. The three bells of the church mark the life of the village: Saint Eutrope (dating from 1701, 584 kilos), Marie (1890 drone of 1250kg) as well as Charlotte (of 1895, 380Kg). Beautiful houses are built on the hills, separated by two streams which form two valleys: the valley of Salembre and the valley of Noir.
