Monflanquin, la promenade des châteaux de la Lède

This walk allows you to discover the bastide of Monflanquin from the hillside overlooking the valley of the river Lède. The track passes the old manor of Mondésir and its imposing dovecote, surrounded by trees. It also passes near the lake with its restaurant and tourist accommodation. Twice, you will cross the river Lède, a tributary of the river Lot. The Lède has 48 mills over a distance of 50 kilometers ; those mills were used from the Middle Ages till the 19th century (paper mills, forges, flour mills, spinning mills). The walk offers beautiful views of the perched bastide, the valley and the castles in the area. You will pass near the Boulède mill, the Teyrac chapel, but you will also see the castles of Rastouillac, Rousset and Roquefère.
