This small loop starts from the place de la Calle near the church of Couthures-sur-Garonne, then it follows the big loop of the Garonne, river personified by the inhabitants of the village who live at the rhythm of its floods. With its 411 inhabitants, the village is located on the banks of the river and almost all the houses are in flood-prone areas. It has undergone several floods, the four largest (1875, 1930, 1952, 1981) are inscribed on the wall of the church. You can end the tour with a visit to "Gens de Garonne", a museum, a scenovision and a model of the floods. The history of the inhabitants of Couthures-sur-Garonne and the whims of the Garonne will be told to you with a show that will transport you to the beginning of the 1960s to share the daily life of the people of the Garonne. The scenario was written from the testimonies of those who lived the floods.
