Couthures, la promenade des Gens de Garonne

This small loop starts from the place de la Calle near the church of Couthures-sur-Garonne, then it follows the big loop of the Garonne, river personified by the inhabitants of the village who live at the rhythm of its floods. With its 411 inhabitants, the village is located on the banks of the river and almost all the houses are in flood-prone areas. It has undergone several floods, the four largest (1875, 1930, 1952, 1981) are inscribed on the wall of the church.
