This short walk between the Garonne and the Canal is rich in fauna and flora typical of wetlands. A route with thematic panels will help you discover the natural jewels of this site. Between Lagruère and Le Mas-d'Agenais, you can walk along the dyke or join the Garonne to discover the strength of the river and the work done by man to contain it: riprap, willow bushes, plant techniques... developments that must be reviewed after each flood
The proximity of the Garonne makes Lagruère a privileged territory. Located on the second terrace of the river, it has been occupied since Antiquity and a bastide was built there in the Middle Ages.
The village is located on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa associated with a spa. Near the site, a potter's workshop was discovered and there is also a necropolis, near the Roman camp of Camparona.
