From the town hall square, not far from the Admiral's cellar, you will cross the hillside overlooking the valley, without seeing it. From the bridge of Pinayne, you have the choice between the Voie Verte or the opposite towpath. After the harbour, continue along the canal for almost a kilometre. Then follow the foot of the dyke, on the old paved towpath of the Garonne. A tunnel allows you to pass under the canal and go back up to the Place du Tertre via the rue de la Brèche des Anglais. It owes its name to the feats of arms of the armies of the Earl of Derby who broke through the wall to take over the Citadel in 1345. Historic panels tell this story, but also that of the citadel, the landscape, the Garonne, the canal, etc... Return via the streets Pierre Capdeville, the church and the Town Hall.
