Moncaut, balade en Gascogne

This hike, traced in the hills of Moncaut and on the eastern side of the charming little village, perched on a hillside, is crossed by the Petit Auvignon.
It offers views on the hills of Gascony and the Garonne valley around Agen. The village developed from the 12th century onwards around its church and the castle which was just next door. The latter was completely destroyed at the end of the 19th century. Today, the town is promoting its heritage. It is assisted by a local association for the conservation and restoration of small heritage, "Pierre d'hier et d'aujourd'hui".
