Montagnac, petite montagne d'Albret

Situated at an altitude of 200 m, Montagnac offers a 360° panorama on the "sea of hills" that it dominates. Above the traditional stone houses, the large tower of the church steeple asserts the silhouette of the village. From the covered way running around the surrounding walls, the view extends over the Landes, the Lomagne, the Garonne valley and, on a clear day, over the Pyrenees mountain range. The colourful mosaic of the hillsides reveals the richness of the land: vineyards and orchards, cereals and sunflowers, woods and meadows, all landscapes to be admired along this circuit where the built heritage and the numerous pigeon lofts also play an important role, and reflect the prosperity of the hillsides.
