A small detour is necessary to discover "the city with seven bell towers". At the top of a hill overlooking the green valley of the Nauze, its belvedere offers a vast panorama of the horizons of the Périgord Noir. Thanks to its strategic position, Belvès has had an eventful history. Several times besieged during the Hundred Years War and the Wars of Religion, the village abounds with many miraculously preserved remains. To discover its secrets, the tourist office will give you a free map of the town which will allow you to walk through the streets and alleys of the village.
