Take a historic tour rich in remarkable religious and civil buildings in a rural setting, through the hills and valleys of the little tributaries of the right bank of the Seine.
1- From the car park, go up towards the centre of the village, turn right onto the main street, left on Rue Montmart and right on Rue A.-Chenier. At the end, turn left and take the path to the right. Turn right and go up the road to the left to the Voulzie aqueduct (GR® 11).
2- Walk 2.3 km along the embankment on the right. Follow D95 to the left towards Gurcy-le-Châtel, Rue Gounod to the right for 600 m and the dirt path to the right at the edge of the wood.
Cross both roads, and enter Dontilly. Turn left onto Rue de la Sablière, the dirt road on the right (GR® 11) the street opposite and pass the church.
3- Take the street on the right for 200 m, the road on the left, the embankment of the aqueduct to the right and cross D403 at the crossroads. Walk along the road on the path on the left. It leads up to the right into the woods.
After the Vincent pond, turn right, walk down into the woods, turn left, follow the road to the right for 10 m, and take the path to the right.
4- At Le Plessis-aux-Chapts, take the street on the right, the path for 1.6 km, and the D75 to the left for 800 m, (after the bend to the right is a view of the former Abbey of Preuilly).
5- Turn right and then left, along the edge of the Abbey’s outer wall. The path turns right as it leads upward. Continue the ascent, passing the grove to the right and reach the reservoir overlooking the hillock. Follow the path to the right, then go down the slope to the left. Turn right, left and left again, go along the valley for 2 km.
6- Cross the stream and enter Chaupry. Turn right twice, cross D 101 and climb the path opposite. Walk past the paths to the right and to the left. After the turn to the left, continue on the ridge for 1.3 km.
7- In front of the wood, take the path on the right. It leads down, crosses the valley and leads back up. Continue across the road on D101 (Rue Turgot).
Take Rue de Jussieu on the left and Allée du Cèdre on the left to return to the car park.
• Do not leave the marked paths.
• If there are any doubts regarding which path to take, markings take precedence over the description.
• Respect nature and private property.
• Don't litter.
• Avoid routes during hunting season (check with the town halls or the Seine-et-Marne hunting federation).
• Close gates and fences after you.
• Whenever possible, remove any obstacles from the path.
