Véloroute - Voie Verte des berges de L'Isle

Description

Whether you are from Périgueux or just passing through, this greenway, a 15 km long path, is open to pedestrians, cyclists, rollerbladers and wheelchair users and crosses the Périgueux agglomeration from east to west. It offers you a quiet and bucolic walk, without ever leaving the river bank.
You will leave from Trélissac, pass the Rhodas dam and then the Mounards dam, you will cross the Franck Grandou space and then after passing the Barnabé footbridge, you will see successively at the foot of the historical centre of Périgueux, the Houses of the Quays, the Cathedral St Front and the Old mill (l'eschif). A little further on, on a towpath, you will see the "maladrerie" which was once used as a shelter for the sick and homeless. Then take the cycle track parallel to the stadium path.
