Majestic ramparts, birds of prey in flight, medieval alleys and above all the perfume of a crimson rose brought directly from the Crusades: this is Provins, overlooked by Caesar's Tower.
Head towards the upper town, turn left before the Porte Saint-Jean and walk along the ramparts up to the Porte de Jouy.
Take the road to the left. At the bend, continue straight then walk downhill. Follow D55 to the left for 150 m, the route follows GR 11 (white-red). Walk up to the left. At the intersection, turn right.
At the crossroads, turn right, cross D55 and continue opposite on D55. After the bridge, as you enter the bend, turn right on the path that intersects the bend in the road. At Rouillot, take Rouillot path opposite, the street to the left and then the street to the right.
Enter Rouilly, and take D55. At the last house, turn rightand walk down the hill. Take the D55 to left for 50 m and goup to the left. Turn right and then left on Grande Rue. After the church, turn right on Rue du Cimetière. Go past the cemetery and continue 300 m.
Turn right, go 500 m before turning left and walk downhill. Take the road on the left for 50 m and turn left.
After the former Cordelieres convent, take the path on the left. At the end of the wall, walk down to the right, take the road to the right for 80 m, then take the path to the left. Continue on Rue du Barreau, Rue de Nanteuil to the right and the Rue des Boulançois to the left. Cross the river, walk on the promenade to the right and continue to the entrance of the stadium.
Turn left on Rue des Prés, turn right and walk up to the left on Rue des Blancs-Manteaux. Climb the steps opposite and turn right on Rue du collège. Turn left on Rue des BeauxArts and continue to Saint-Quiriace Place. Go right.
After Caesar Tower, follow Rue de la Pie. Continue to the right, turn left on Rue de l'Ormerie, cross Place du Châtel and continue on Rue Couverte.
Take Rue Saint-Jean on the left to return to the tourist office
