Ogeu can be explored and tasted. A must-try is Pastis Bourrit from Navarrine, a Béarn cake to enjoy with the whole family, accompanied by the bubbles of the mineral water produced in the village.
Ogeu is famous for its natural mineral spring, but it's also a typical Béarn village, with a rich heritage of buildings, narrow streets and numerous water-related structures: fords, bridges, wash-houses and canals. As you follow the meandering Gave d'Ossau through the Bois de Richette, you'll come across a number of brooks that feed the waters of this river, born at the foot of the Pic du Midi d'Ossau, before joining the Gave d'Aspe.
This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Departing from a train station or TER bus stop, it allows you to join a walking or hiking itinerary, and to take an ecomobility trip!
