You want a shady hike in easy terrain? You have just found your happiness!
The route of the Croix des Anglais offers varied landscapes, with sometimes beautiful views of the mountains and many passages in the forest which will be very pleasant in the summer. The route takes its name from a stone cross, visible towards the end of the route. It is 2.5m high and bears the inscription "1713", in memory of the English soldiers taken prisoner and killed during the War of the Spanish Succession. This war opposed France and Spain to a European coalition between 1701 and 1714.
