A tributary of the Adour river, the Bidouze, is now a guide to ensure the link between the communes of Bidache and Came. Beautiful stone houses, paved docks and towpaths, their small ports keep the memory of the once flourishing river trade. Along the river, the bucolic towpath draws curves in symbiosis with the meanders of the Bidouze. On its banks, it is frequent to see passerines, egrets or herons, but also, for a few years, many cyclists travelling on the V81, a large-scale itinerary that crosses the whole Pyrenean foothills, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. More modestly, at the port of Came, you will climb the nearby hill to enjoy the view of the fertile Bidouze valley, and then it will be time to return to the river, always within sight of the Château de Gramont.
