GR65 - Santiago de Compostela path - Geneva to Frangy section

GR65 - Santiago de Compostela path - Geneva to Frangy section
carte 1canton 1

Description

After leaving Geneva, the pilgrims' path goes through gently-rolling wooded countryside with views of the snow-capped Jura mountains. Beyond that is the Rhône with its vine-clad hillsides and drained marshes dotted with poplar trees.

The path from Charrot (a hamlet of Bardonnex en Suisse) follows the Chemin de la Checande, through the vineyards.
Cross the N206 main road and take the Chemin des Crêts-d'Acier which is opposite you. Cross the railway line and continue to your right along a clear path. Take the road on the right and then, when you reach Chez-Jacques, take Chemin d'Huffin on the left and cross to the other side of the A40. At the bend in the road, head South on a long path that goes to Neydens.
