La Véloroute de la Vallée de la Baïse en Lot-et-Garonne

Discover Gascony by bike! The Véloroute which goes through the Baïse valley is connected to the Scandibérique. It starts in Barbaste, at the foot of the Moulin des Tours. The itinerary crosses history on the lands of the young Henry of Navarre, future king Henry IV. Passing through Nérac, discover its "Renaissance" castle, its bridges and its old tanneries. Follow in the footsteps of Queen Margot in the Royal Park of La Garenne. Through small quiet roads, you will progress along the Baïse river to the "Mont des Chèvres": Moncrabeau, world famous for its liars' festival. In this village overlooking the valley, take a well-deserved break on the "Trône des Menteurs" before leaving the Albret and the Lot-et-Garonne. You will probably then head for Condom, the Ténarèze and the Gers, home of d'Artagnan, another proud Gascon.
