The Tourist Office is situated in the "Door Museum".Thanks to the range of maps and circuits available you will be able to explore the region on foot or by bike.While there you can visit the “Door Museum” for free, a museum of the archaeology, art and history of the town of Tubize. 

This former Spanish-style farmhouse dates back to the mid-17th century. It is home to the Museum of Archaeology, Art and History of Tubize and its region.The collections present local history and everyday life from prehistoric times up until 1900, treasures of religious art and artefacts showing the region’s industrial past. On your visit, among other things, you will discover the interior of a Neolithic house.The museum also offers many temporary and permanent exhibitions.

Only point in the heart of Roman Païs offering a general view of the three canals forming the Brussels-Charleroi canal, the "Bras Mort" (Dead arm) is a haven of peace for walkers as well as for the fauna and flora that grow there in complete tranquillity. While the Brussels-Charleroi canal supports its incessant traffic of barges that, despite their nonchalant air, are testimony to the sustained economic activity developing there, its dead arm is completely calm, and it's well worth allowing yourself to drift along there according to your mood. A bird sanctuary in the form of a small island, framed by two idling canals which take life easy, like the birds which have chosen to live there, reveals a free and luxuriant nature, surreptitiously guided by permanent care and knowhow. In this part of the canal, nature has regained its rights over the old canals and its activities. It is a timeless place where one can recharge batteries, as nature is all around. This magical environment with its changeable colours and atmospheres according to the whims of the seasons or the heavens cannot fail to make an impression on the stroller. Whether it inspires meditation, romanticism or just a stroll, you live an unforgettable moment.

Quenast quarry is Europe’s largest open-pit quarry with an area of 140 hectares and is up to 125 metres deep in places. Porphyry, formed 435 million years ago from cooled magma, has been mined here since the 17th century. This is a very hard rock and was traditionally used to make the famous Belgian cobblestones. Today porphyry is used for ballast and gravel.

A place for walking located in Roman Païs, in the Western part of the Walloon Brabant, but in particular a gathering spot for fishermen, the ponds of Coeurcq feed a waterfall of over 7 meters, in a calm and serene spot.After a marshy backup of the water supplying the Coeurcq mill, several developments of the site have been carried out for almost a century. This green showcase is a pleasant spot for a walk.Fishing lovers will also find their heart’s desire (Exploitation « Les pêcheurs réunis de Tubize ASBL”).The site contains two ponds, the first covering an area of 1.6 ha and the second 2.1 ha. The ponds abounds with fish, which makes them popular.You can fish roaches, ides, rotengles, breams, crucian carps, and even carps up to 20 kg.Fellow fishermen, don’t forget the annual "Pêche en fête" get-together organized at the ponds over Whitsun.In this greenery spot, you will also find a playground for children, a boules ground, a nice refreshment bar with its terrace facing the ponds, toilets, a large car park and an easy access for persons with reduced mobility.
