Description

From the Col du Mollard, climb up to the Col d'Emy to admire the view. After a climb through alpine meadows and a final scree slope, you'll arrive at the Col d'Emy, where an incredible view of the Maurienne valley, Mont Blanc and the Ecrins awaits you.
This hike has to be earned for its steep ascent. Yet it's a wild itinerary well worth the detour. You'll come across marmots and cows before arriving on 100% mineral terrain. At the Col d'Emy, on the Albiez side, you'll have a magnificent view of the various hamlets of Albiez, the Maurienne valley, the Pic de l'Étendard and the Belledonne range in the background.
You can also see the entire Ecrins range, with the Dôme and the Meije.
And on the Karellis side, you can admire the Péclet glacier, the Fort du Télégraphe and, on a clear day, Mont Blanc.

As soon as the first snow falls, this hike is no longer accessible.
