Take a detour along the path to admire the demoiselles de la Saussaz. These fairy chimneys (geological edifices) are well worth seeing.
Fairy chimneys are natural rock columns. These columns, with their sometimes strange and evocative shapes (giving rise to numerous legends), are created by various erosion phenomena, and can reach several dozen meters in height.
Not far from these fairy chimneys flows the Saussaz torrent, with its many bathing spots. On the way back from your walk, you can stop off at the edge of this torrent, located next to a rock-climbing school.
From drawing to woodworking, Sebastian creates wood sculptures that he will makes you discover in his grandfather workshop, where he is creating, freely and to order.Interview with Sebastien : " When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time playing with the shaving of the workshop of my grandfather Joseph in Albiez-Montrond. Later, I learn the profession of cooker and ski monitor. In 2002, I made of my passion a second job: wood sculptor. I like the wood perfume, it's silky touch. Wood stays a living material, you have to learn it before knowing how to control it. My realizations are going from the letterbox to wood emblem, passing by planters, indoor arrangement and bas-relief. When a client asks me something very precise and unusual, I hear the voice of mis grandfather telling me "You, Sebasten, you shuld be able to do it." I like this job where we constantly learn, where we have to stay humble in front of this wood, fruit from the nature, recyclable, but inexhaustible."
