The Marie-Blanque is often the first climb of the year for the Béarnais cyclosportif. Its location at the entrance to the valley and its altitude of 1035 m make it accessible in the spring. It's also a popular first-category pass, which has seen the Tour de France pass through no less than 13 times. This guarantee of quality and high standards calls for caution and a minimum of physical preparation. Even with electric assistance, the few sections with gradients in excess of 8%, combined with a long itinerary, will have to be managed with finesse to conserve sufficient energy and complete the loop in the best possible conditions. But the technological and physical challenge will be a source of pleasure on a route of great variety, between the vast panoramas of the Ossalois and the discreet, peaceful roads of the Aspoises. All in all, a first-rate circuit to be ridden without hesitation.
