Climbing the Col d'Aubisque by bike is an unmissable experience in the Ossau valley. With its ribbon of asphalt winding its way out of the deep wooded valleys and onto the inviting highland estives, the Aubisque is an emblematic Pyrenean pass. Considered as a loop, trained cyclists can embark on an adventure to the Col du Soulor, via the daring and historic thermal route. The crossing of the cirque du Litor is a wildly aesthetic experience, when the asphalt defies the cliffs and seems to turn cyclists into tightrope walkers. Pastures once again abound at the Col du Soulor, and it's through the secret Ouzom valley, pastoral and peaceful, that you head for the Pyrenean foothills. Make sure you keep up your strength, as the foothills are bumpy and offer half a dozen serious climbs for the most part
