Description
The commune was created by the merger of the communes of Saint Romain and Saint Clément in 1827. The presence of man is attested around 1200 BC. At the beginning of the 20th century, the commune boasted numerous vineyards, mills, spinning mills... including the Verdale mill, which produced ice loaves.
