Straddling the valley and the hillsides, this circuit is dominated by vineyards. The culture of the vine (viticulture) is ancient on these hillsides which border the Dordogne valley. But this activity has not always been a dominant culture, as the windmills for the grain testify. However, the vine has always been a recurrent and essential crop for the economy of the region.
One can also admire a rich rural heritage such as dovecotes, mills, and wine castles. You will pass in front of the Château de la Bourguette. This former seigniory has become an important wine estate. You will discover its dovecote dating from the 18th century, which under the Ancien Régime was a seigneurial privilege.
