Boucle de Quérion

This itinerary takes you to the heart of the "Gabaye" country, a land of customs with a language coming from the people of Saintonge who came to repopulate these lands after the Hundred Years War and the great black plague. There remains today an agricultural tradition based on breeding and vines. The varied landscapes combine the vineyards of the Bordeaux, Côtes de Bourg and Côtes de Blaye appellations with vast meadows populated by calves or sheep. Further afield, large plots of land are devoted to the cultivation of asparagus.
