Description

From the call sign in the municipal parking lot (behind the salle des fêtes), join the road and turn right towards the village center. After the war memorial, turn right, then straight ahead at the crossroads, signposted "DFCI Double". after 30 m, continue on the small road, turning right just before the DFCI.

Etape 1

Depuis le panneau d'appel situé sur le parking municipal (derrière la salle des fêtes), rejoindre la route et monter à droite vers le centre bourg. Après le monument aux morts, partir à droite puis aller tout droit vers le carrefour direction « DFCI Double ». 30 mètres plus loin, continuer sur la petite route, prendre à droite juste avant le DFCI.

Eglise Saint-Michel

Saint-Michel L'Ecluse et Léparon associée à la commune de La Roche-Chalais est situé en limite occidentale de la Forêt de la Double. L'église Saint-Michel de Saint-Michel-l'Écluse et Léparon, date du 12ème siècle. Cet édifice était l'église d'un ancien prieuré. L'ensemble a été considérablement remanié à différentes périodes notamment dans les années 1880 comme l'atteste une inscription figurant en haut du clocher.

Suite aux intempéries et à la grêle de 2022, de nombreux arbres avaient été détruits. De nouveaux ont été plantés par la suite.
