The ceramic artist Stéphane GUIFFREY has opened his workshop in Bourg d'Oisans, featuring a series of useful stoneware objects.Having passed my ceramics diploma at St Quentin la Poterie, I went on to develop a diverse range of ceramic products. You can see my work either directly at the workshop/ store or on potters’ markets and at ceramic exhibitions. I am currently working on two separate projects, namely a series of earthenware objects for practical, daily use, inspired by calligraphy and gestures, as well as more ornamental ceramics, involving graphic research in relation to body and matter. Clémentine Jehl sells culinary and decorative pottery in her workshop-boutique. She sublimates high-temperature earthenware by combining the rustic character of the raw clay with the softness of enamel.I graduated from the Provence School of Ceramics and work with different coloured stoneware and porcelain, which I organise into collections. I mainly shape my pieces on the lathe in small batches or one-off pieces. They are then fired a first time before I apply the enamel-based decorations I have made by myself. A second firing at 1280°C completes the manufacturing process, creating pieces that are unalterable and dishwasher and microwave safe. A part of my production made with a highly refractory clay can also be used in traditional ovens. Being very pragmatic, most of my production is geared towards utilitarian objects that make your everyday life more pleasant each time you use them! Inspired by the exceptional environment that surrounds me and following my instinct, a little "natural" touch is added to each of my creations. Take pot luck and come into my workshop. The maison du Parc National is a welcoming visitor centre that is a good introduction to visiting the Oisans valleys and the Ecrins massif. The fauna, flora, history and mountain trades are displayed in detailed in pictures on fun, interactive supports for both old and young alike!The reading corner has been created for children and wide-ranging documentation about the national park is available for consultation. The centre also houses temporary exhibitions, conferences and a shop, selling postcards, guides and books. The museum is a member of the "Route des Savoir-Faire de l'Oisans". Meet a park warden at the Lac du lauvitel (Bourg d'Oisans) between 10am and 2pm in July and August.

Chrystelle Chassagne est écrivain et poète qui puise son inspiration dans un mode imaginaire et en relation avec le territoire de l'Oisans.Son parcours : " J'ai commencé à écrire au collège encouragé par un professeur de français à écrire un poème. J'aime les livres, la lecture, ma région et montrer qu'avec des difficultés scolaires, on y arrive." Par la suite, encouragée par Roger Canac et son frère, elle a édité un premier recueil de poème "le p'titophe" puis a participé à des salons du livre. Françoise is passionate about making biscuits and sells her own flaky pastry cookies in the centre of Bourg d'Oisans.In 2022, Françoise set herself a new challenge, namely to produce sweet and savoury artisan biscuits, made with a maximum of local products. As an aside, a "feuilleté" refers both to the geological strata visible on most Oisans mountains, as well as to a biscuit... hence the pun! An artistan ice cream maker, featuring only home-made flavours created during the season fresh produce and made with passion. Nicolas also transforms cocoa beans into delicious bars of traditional chocolate.Nicolas started off with home-made ice cream and has now added a string to his bow, being an artisan ice cream maker. His products are prepared using a range of ice cream and sorbet flavours, including coffee, vanilla, chocolate, pistachio, stracciatella, tiramisu, nectarine, strawberry, lemon, orange, blueberry, raspberry. His ice cream is always made using fresh produce and/or raw ingredients and never flavoured powders. When making mint ice cream, for example, he infuses real mint leaves. Or, for pistachio ice cream, he uses real pistachios which he turns into paste. Two years ago, he started making chocolate bars from cocoa beans. Marcel Gresse is a fretwork craftsman based in Bourg d'Oisans who creates unique items cut and sculpted from solid wood. He uses an ancestral method called "intarsia", the art of which is to give life to a subject.PRODUCTS Jigsaw puzzles and decorative objects (bud vases, flowers, animals and characters) made from solid wood. The Musée des Minéraux et de la Faune des Alpes houses the largest collection of alpine minerals in France. A zoological section also displays Alpine wildlife, featuring over 140 different species in an amazingly lifelike display.The diversity of its mineralogical collection, together with the dynamic setting of its wildlife area, make it a perfect place to learn more about the natural and cultural heritage of Oisans. The museum is a member of the Route des Savoir-Faire.

Chris Goodwin is an Englishman who has lived in the Oisans region for the past 25 years. After searching in vain for beers to remind him of his homeland, he decided to open his own microbrewery at the end of 2015. The aim: to produce English style ales, “made in Oisans”Since 2015, the brewery launched a range of beers available in 33cl and 50cl bottles; available at the summer markets around Bourg D’Oisans, as well as in the bars, gites and restaurants of the valley. Their reputation has started to spread, with new clients in Grenoble, Lyon and the north of France; and this autumn they were asked to produce a beer for the new Hard Rock Café which opened in the heart of Lyon. 4 different beers are currently brewed on site - an IPA, a Pale Ale, a Wheat Beer & a Dark Ale – all made using traditional British brewing methods adapted to produce beers more easily adaptable to the sensitive French palate! The ingredients are chosen in order to produce the desired flavor and colour of the beers: malted barley from the UK, wheat from mainland Europe, and hops from the USA and New Zealand, where flavours are more pronounced and aromatic. The bicycle specialist Laurent Ametller runs a workshop in Bourg d’Oisans. Passionate about vintage bicycles, he restores, repairs to their original state and customises old bikes, as well as selling them. He specialises in folding bikes and racing bikes.Laurent has been a mechanics enthusiastic ever since he was young, when he was already taking bicycles apart in order to customise them. With the growing popularity of cycling in today's society, Laurent decided on a career change, making this new market his trade. A fan of vintage vehicles, he tracks down old bikes in order to offer them a second life. He specialises in folding bikes of the 1960s and 70s. His workshop is full of bicycles for men, women and children dating from the 1900s to the 1980s, which Laurent has hunted down all over Europe. His favourites are the French makes, Peugeot, Motobécane and Libéria (from Grenoble), which he appreciates for their excellent manufacturing quality, with their sparkling chrome and "Made in France" style. He also really likes Italian bikes, known in the old days as "mini-bikes" and made by Dino, Biancchi, Cinzia and the famous, iconic Graziella. As an anecdote, Brigitte Bardot and Salvador Dali were both ambassadors of Carnielli bikes in 1965 and 1966. Since then, La Graziella from the Carnielli factory in Victorio Venetto (Italy) has become a myth. This little bicycle, with its 16 inch wheels, has a look that is both retro and completely modern – Laurent is a huge fan! Brewers Geneviève and François, the couple behind this project, have chosen to create high-quality craft beers exclusively using organic ingredients.The beers offered for tasting are high-fermentation, unfiltered, non-pasteurised beers without any added sugars that are available in 33cl and 75cl bottles. Barrels containing 20 and 30 L are also available for special events and parties. Taps can be loaned on request, together with recyclable glasses. Three beers are permanently available (Blonde, Dorée and Ambrée), whilst the brewery also produces special seasonal beers throughout the year, such as Christmas beers, and refreshing summer lagers). Production of fresh artisan pastaWelcome to the "Les Pâtes en Oisans" workshop in the heart of Le Bourg. This is where my fresh egg pasta is made by hand. The pasta's composition is authentic: top-quality French durum wheat semolina, Isère farm eggs and mountain water. Pasta, ravioli and gnocchi are prepared with quality ingredients. No additives, flavoring, coloring or preservatives.... All natural! Recipes made with local produce, with emphasis on short distribution channels. To bring color to your plate...Fresh vegetables and wild herbs color pasta in parsley green, tomato red or beet violet. Several shapes of pasta are shaped. Several flours are selected. Rodolphe Candau is descended from a family of mountain guides based in Oisans. His talent, inspired by the mountain flora, fauna, fruit and poya, find expression in a variety of media, including paintings, furniture, fabric and signs.Rodolphe is from Oisans - to be more precise, from the small village of Venosc. I live in Oisans and take full advantage of the magnificent landscape. It is here that I give free rein to my creativity according to the seasons, the colours, my dreams and my curiosity about the world.I spent my childhood in a family where we had time to dream and therefore to be creative. I have always pursued a variety of handicrafts and in 2005, I decided to design a range of handmade jewellery. Fine stones, metal wire and, for the last 4 years, ceramics, have enriched my collections over time. I use three colours of earthenware: white, black and terracotta, as well as black stoneware. I shape them and sometimes mix them (we call this "nériage") to create marbling, then decorate them with a brush and glaze them. Hand-decoration leads to many unique pieces and each is always slightly different, but this is also the charm of handicraft. It takes a lot of care, time and several firings at a temperature of about 1000°, each of which lasts about twenty hours. "I live in Oisans and take full advantage of the magnificent landscape. The wire I use for the semi-rigid collections is silver-plated and can be cleaned like silver.
