Steps

Etape 1

From the Jardin de la Lamproie, turn left onto the D670 towards St-Jean-de-Blaignac. Continue straight on to leave Lavagnac.

Etape 2

Take the bridge into Saint-Jean-de Blaignac and follow the same road up through the village until you reach the junction with the D119, on the left.

Etape 3

Turn left onto the D119 towards Civrac s/Dordogne. At the stop sign at the end of "rue de la poste", carry straight on and leave St-Jean-de-Blaignac. Cycle infront of Ch. Courtebotte on your right. Stay on the D199, along the Dordogne river.

Cycle along the river on the D119 following signs towards Civrac s/Dordogne (2.5km) and Castillon (7km).

Etape 6

At the entrance of the village of Civrac s/Dordogne, at the stop sign, cross straight over the road towards Castillon (4km), to carry on cycling along the Dordogne.

Cross through the village of "Gorre" and continue straight onto the D119, until the D119E1 junction and the pont Eiffel.

Etape 8

Carry straight on onto the D119. Then cross the town of Le Port.

Etape 9

At the stop sign, turn left then cross over the pont de Pierre and enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of the town of Castillon.

Etape 10

Just after the bridge, immediatley turn right, towards the Chai au Quai du Ch. Laithwaite.

Turn around to go to the Docks. Go under the bridge and cycle straight on through "rue du Pont". Cycle along the Dordogne Docks until you reach the Pont Eiffel.

Turn around to go to the Docks. Go under the bridge and cycle straight on through "rue du Pont". Cycle along the Dordogne Docks until you reach the Pont Eiffel.

Etape 13

At the pont Eiffel, turn right onto the D119E1, until the D123 junction, then turn left onto "avenue du Stade"towards Sainte-Terre and the municipal stadium.

Etape 14

At the municipal stadium, turn left at the crow's feet to take the rue de Mansy towards Ch. de Lescaneaut until the crossing with the "rue des pêcheurs".

Etape 15

At the junction with the "rue des pêcheurs", turn left to cycle along the Dordogne river.

Etape 16

At the next junction, cross straight over the road.

Etape 17

At the entrance of the village of Sainte-Terre, carry straight on over the rue du parlement, until the junction with the D123.

Etape 18

Turn left onto the D123 and cycle infront of the church of St-Terre and then infront of the townhall, until the bend on the left.

Etape 19

Follow the D123 to cycle along the river.

Etape 20

At the entrance of the town of Lavagnac and carry straight on until the crossroads with the D670. Make your way back the the Jardin de la Lamproie, on your left.

Le jardin de la lamproie

The Jardin de la Lamproie is a park designed around the themes of the river Dordogne and the mysterious lamprey. A curved path, surrounded by wetland vegetation, symbolises the river. All along the way, explanatory panels will help you appreciate this varied vegetation. Inside the Garden is the exhibition room, where live lampreys in an aquarium await your visit. There's also an information desk and a shop selling regional products.

Eglise Saint-Alexis de Sainte-Terre

This Romanesque church has a main nave and a chevet built in the 12th century. The building was listed as a historic monument by decree on 21 December 1925.
