Description

The commune of Wattwiller is located at the foot of the Molkenrain mountains and of the Hartmannswillerkopf - Vieil Armand battlefield.
Despite the violent fights of WWI which destroyed a great part of the village, many remains survived: fountains, fortifications as well as its Romanesque church, which is one of the 5 oldest churches of the High-Alsace.

Its origin is linked to the presence of thermal springs, certainly already known by the Romans.

Today, it is from the purity of its mineral water sold in the entire France that Wattwiller draws its greatest renown.
This walk will lead you on the tracks of a heritage, hidden sometimes at the corner of an alley, but always surprising!
