Description
The subsoil riches of the region, such as the thermal water of Morsbronn-les-Bains and the asphalt formerly extracted from the Lobsann mines, are among the points of interest on this tour. In addition, the exploitation of oil in this basin, where the first wells in France and Europe were drilled, is remarkably illustrated in the French Oil Museum in Merkwiller-Pechelbronn.
